Rob Doty

Rob Doty specializes in consulting to Juvenile Justice partners on a host of projects and brings more than 35 years of experience in direct service, management and executive leadership. His work has been impactful for California’s county Probation Departments, their system partners, and many Community-Based Organizations. Rob has particular interest in supporting and guiding system improvement efforts to enhance outcomes for youth and families.
In 2023, Rob retired from the Santa Cruz County Probation Department, where he served as the Juvenile Division Director. Among many enhancements in Santa Cruz, Rob co-chaired the County Interagency Leadership Team (ILT), facilitated a monthly meeting for court partners which included the Juvenile Court Judge, Supervising District Attorney and Public Defender. He was also responsible for the Probation Department’s System Improvement Plan (SIP) and the DJJ Realignment Plan.
In addition to his roles at IHSG, he also provides consulting services to the Chief Probation Officers of California (CPOC) and the Judicial Council of California. He is the lead trainer for CPOC for the Integrated Core Practice Model (ICPM) and Concurrent Planning for Foster Care youth. His work with the Judicial Council for the past two years has focused on working with System of Care partners in Santa Cruz County to increase family finding efforts for the purpose of creating a network of support that is free and forever for system involved youth and their families.
Rob has a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati.
