Maria Affinito, EdD, LCSW is a skilled process improvement and quality improvement manager, having worked as a clinician, child welfare worker, supervisor, and trainer in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than two decades.

She currently supports the VA Northern California Health Care System, and trains for UC Davis Continuing Education and other entities across the state, in topics including child welfare practice and supervision. Maria is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Education, focusing on Leadership and Learning in Organizations, from Vanderbilt University. She earned a B.A. in Psychology, and her M.S.W. from UC Berkeley. Maria’s consultation expertise areas include process improvement, facilitation, team building, policy analysis and creation, child abuse investigations, and case planning.
