Senior Consultant

Alissa Sykes, MSW, has been serving children and families in California since 1999. Working for two northern counties in multiple roles, including Child, Youth, and Family Director in a newly formed Health and Human Services agency, she has led implementation of multiple state and local initiatives, enhanced multidisciplinary collaboration, and engaged community partners to improve care for children and youth.  She’s led and coached multiple collaboratives toward improved outcomes across federal measures through multiple Quality Improvement methods, including state required CSA/SIP cycles.

Alissa has served as an Academic Coordinator for the Northern California Training Academy, applying her subject matter expertise toward County Self Assessments and System Improvement Plans, and organizational and leadership development.

In addition to her roles at IHSG, she trains for the Judicial Council of California and serves as an instructor for the Center for Professional Excellence, supporting the Northern Academy and Resource Center for Family-Focused Practice across myriad projects, providing coaching for leadership development, and technical assistance projects in conjunction with state partners.  Her projects align with her passion for building integrated systems of care, CQI processes to improve outcomes for children and families, and prevention and early intervention work.
